Beltronics GT-7 Unboxing and preliminary review

I was given one of the new Bel GT-7's to test out and review. Over all its a great unit, very solid feeling and very similar to the Escort Max with a different body and tones. Its also a little bit bigger. This unit also incorporates Auto Lock which is the same as Auto Learn in the Max.



Inside the GT-7:

-DSP = Digital signal processing
-GPS technology allows for false lock out features to help quiet down the radar detector.
-Defender database informs you of red light and speed camera locations all over the US.
-Multi color display has many mode features.
-Very good long range detection.

Great quick overview of the GT-7's set-up options & including a nice demo roadside around the curve encounter. The fast ramp-up can be explained as not a normal situation b/c you got full radar signal strength as you came out of the apogee of the right-hand curve. Would really like to see a normal encounter from a long distance & weak signal slowly building in strength to see what the GT-7 ramp-up is like under those conditions.

Over speed set to "90"...better be careful there lead foot !
