You must mean the Beltronics Vector 965.

If memory serves, this unit is about 25 years old, probably from the early 90's. Good unit back in its day, but far behind in performance of todays modern detectors.

So I'll give it back.
Can someone recommend a good used Detector around $130.00?
I am an ebay-er or any other place? I just don't know good from bad and want to get the best for my money.
I would like to get one that has a GPS functions.

I am a fan of the Whistler CR90. It's not at the level of the higher end Escorts per se, but, I would opt to go with a current (new) model than an older used one. The reason? Because of the better filtering against K-band collision avoidance systems. No matter how good older radar detectors are, if you need K-band on (most likely will), you will get absolutely hammered with K-band falses from older detectors. At the minimum you should be looking at a detector that possesses either TSR, TFSR, or TMF(2). These filtering/signal rejections options are absolutely essential to make radar detectors usable today.

When driving my wife complains of the too many beeps for no real reason, store doors etc.

Veil....Question, is the Wal-Mart "Whistler CR90 Laser/Radar Detector with GPS" the unit you are suggesting?
The prices very a lot between sellers, I am assuming all the Whistler CR90 Laser/Radar Detector with GPS unites are the same.

I am also assuming ALL CR90's with GPS are the same?

Yes. Whistler needs to do a better job of enforcing retailer pricing, hence the variation of prices.
