Maybe it's because I live in Virginia and there are not a whole lot lot RD's around but the falsing doesn't seem to be a big deal for me. The store motion detectors in the K band are more of a source of false alerts but it's easy to tell since they go away rapidly. The occasional Ka false from what I assume is another RD is easy to spot if you keep the tech display selected which gives the frequency.
In any event it seems to me you really can't have it both ways. If you want long range detection you need very good sensitivity and with this you pick up some falses. Yes you can make a software attempt to filter these out but for me I would rather take the falses than have the software filter out a weaker/borderline signature signal and thus cut down on my warning time.
Seems to me the penalty for missing a real signal is worth a lot of false alarms.
