Default Apart Euro 550, what Bel would be good for Europe?

    Hi huys,

After many researches, I think Bel's RDs are the best for me (good prices, nice features and great results ), the V1 is too expensive with V1.8 Euro Mode

I think the Euro 550 is a little old and I am actually wondering what Bel would be the best for Europe :?:

The Bel STi should be great (the undetectable feature is good for many Europe countries ) but a little expensive because it is very recent.

    What about the RX65, 995 or 955 :?:

    Thanks
    Bye

The 550 is specific for european countries, the STi Ka band is a one size fits all and scans the entire Ka band, where it will be more of a waste to do so. I would believe the 550 because it is country selectable will better than that of the STi. It's a close call, so you would have to weigh the importance of stealth and the cost that goes along with it.

The Bel550 is the only one with narrowband 34,3GHz Ka (aside from the Bel330). If you have Multanovas in your country then no portable Bel is going to be better than the Bel550.

Well, STi Driver would be the answer if stealth mode is the only question. All other case you have to specify in which countries do you drive?
STi Driver scans Ka superwide band - this would be a problem at low powered Multanova photo radars but it does NOT detect Ku band (13.45GHz) and this will be a problem in most of countries in Europe.
I've tested some detectors personally and I could recommend BEL/Target Euro series, BEL RX-65 from Professional series and Valentine1.

By the way BEL/Target Euro 550 is the only detector which is able to detect all radars in all countries.

I have to agree 100% on this! The same experience!

    Thanks for your adivces

A last question which can be useful :
When a RD is supposed to work on Ku-band: 13.400 GHz ± 25 MHz, I understand that it works from 13.375 to 13.425, am I right :?:

In this case, what about the detection of 13.45 GHz radars (like the 995 or RX65) ?
    Thanks again

You are right for interpreting part about 13.400 GHz ± 25 MHz. It realy is 13.375 to 13.425, but Euro550 has Ku band at 13.45GHz...

    Euro550 freqs:
    X band : 9.410 / 9.900 / 10.525 / 10.600 GHz
    Ku band: 13.450 GHz
    K band : 24.125 / 24.150 GHz
    Ka band: 34.000 / 34.300 / 34.700 + SuperWideKa

Thanks for your reply g-zona

To conclude, RX65 or 995 won't detect radars which work on Ku band at 13.45 GHZ ?
The Euro 550 is actually the only one which can radars on this Ku band used in Spain or in England ?

Mariton, don't worry about Ku in Spain, there are no Ku band radars in Spain.
