I just installed the Blinder M40-Xtreme over the weekend and have a quick question about what it does during power-on:
When I first turn-on the ignition, the unit immediately alerts a constant warning tone and the LED lights up RED. After about 2 seconds or so, the warning tone shuts off and then LED lights up GREEN. I assume that the Blinder is doing some kind of self-check and is telling the driver that the system is ok and activated.
About 30 seconds after this first start-up alert, again the Blinder beeps/LED turns RED momentarily. What is the system doing/telling me with this SECOND alert? Is this alert still part of the start-up self-test routine? This second alert happens regardless of whether I'm parked or driving (being parked in my own garage, I highly doubt that this alert is telling me that I just got tagged by laser!). Is this a glitch or is this 30-seconds 2nd alert normal? The manual that came with the box does not explain any of this opening song and dance.
