    Default Blinder Bashing

    I'm a relative newcomer here.
Over the last 2 months I've noticed a lot more Blinder bashing or negative reviews on the M20, about punch thru and ineffectiveness against certain laser guns. Before everyone could only praise Blinder and throw flowers at them.
I bought my Blinder just before these posts came out, and tbh I was starting to get 2nd thoughts about my choice.
Well all faith has been restored, I was lasered, two days ago doin 80Kmh on a 50Kmh zone, I actually didn't slow down whatsoever and accelerated past the road block laid out to stop offenders. The V1 and Blinder wen't crazy, but as I passed the road block I could clearly see the puzzled look on the cops faces! That really made up for the price of the M20.

What I want to get at is in the real world maybe the M20 is effective, in most situations, I don't know what Laser gun the cops here in HK use and obviously I can't get a ticket rebate from Blinder US. But again the look on those cop faces was absolutely priceless
As there are plenty of other Blinder users here, who has actually got a ticket for speeding, with his Blinder on and did you use the $$$ rebate from Blinder?

    Sorry for the long thread.

    Cheers

    Seven,

Unfortunately when you are the best, you are the target of every up-and-coming.

I am pleased to hear about your real-world experiences. I too, have an M20 on one of my vehicles, as well, and I don't think twice about that decision.

Especially for the US market, they're in a class all by themselves and that's no bull.

Good to see that your Blinder works, but please use it correctly. You should have slowed down and cut the Blinder off so the officer could do his or her job and measure your speed at the limit. Such behavior like not slowing down or accelerating will only lead to future trouble for everyone especially yourself by attracting unwanted attention. Officers are not dumb and will figure out cars can have jammers. Nobody wants laser jammers to be banned everywhere and doing stuff like this may cause it to happen sooner rather than later. Drive safely and let the officers do their job next time.

BLinder is the best jammer "actually" on the market toeday in my opinion but i never owned a single jammer at all. Part of the problem with Blinder xtreme i do notice on their website saying their jammer will jam laser at any diistance...to me this seems like the blinder is bascially saying there is no possible way to get punch through which i know now is not true according to video testing...And now we know the real champion is VEIL not the blinder the one thing the other jammers have on the blinder is the extra transponder and mainly the mount on the licence plate is very neat and clean...

    Cheers guys,
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a racer that speeds full time. The speed trap was set within a space of 20 mins, I passed the road @ 20 mins earlier, and I was busy chatting to wife in the car on the return leg. Totally unawares, I was extremely lucky to even to have the M20 switched on because on short trips to the shops I sometimes leave it off!
It was totally my fault, poor situational awareness.

Just saying the M20 still get's my vote of confidence. As for Veil, we have large front Euro plates, but mine sits approx 4 inches from the ground, could the cops really aim for that at 1000ft?

Just because Blinder is allegedly "the best" doesn't mean they can use their "get out of jail free card" to make any claims they want. If Blinder is going to advertise the Xtreme jams every laser gun in any circumstance and at any distance then they sure as hell better send their customers just that. Blinder wouldn't be bashed so much if they didn't engage in false advertising. This is wrong. Period.

Instead of saying "jams guns at any distance and in any circumstance" Blinder should state "jams laser guns." Rocky Mountain Radar also states their active laser jammer doesn't have a punch through. Sure, blinder works better then the RMR to say the least(RMR doesn't work at all), but Blinder still uses the same marketing crap as RMR. A false claim is a false claim. If Blinder doesn't change the way they advertise I suspect other companies like AntiLaser will surely take over the market because nobody wants to deal with a dishonest company, especially if the competition is equal or better in performance.

Want to stop the bashing(based on evidence?) Be honest. That's all you need to do.

Chris, I agree with you totally, that Blinder should not false advertise their product, as the definitive Jammer against all and everything.
At the end of the day anybody looking for a jammer, really needs to do his or her homework before buying.
At the moment, Blinder has almost a monopoly in the market, I mean where can you find Lidatek in a hurry and Laser mimic is hardly available off every website
If and when the competition start getting together and push Blinder's sales down, then they may back down, with their claims. Then again it may not.
When everybody can have a choice, if you don't like one products ethics, you can pay your money to another company. That's why I don't own any RMR product.

    Cheers

    JTW-
Your negative Blinder rhetoric is getting boring... Try a more balanced approch.
I firmly believe that the market currently does not offer a product better than the Blinder Xtreme.

This bashing by you is not productive especially if you want to call yourself "jammertest.com" a self made expert. You rather get a job at the consumer council.. ops:
Also, I need to mention regarding your testing of the mimic, the videos and the designing of the site why dont you say "the mimic only works when aimed at the numberplate- In a real life situation the officer could also aim at the headlight rendering your mimic useless.
Dont you think you misleading the public by not inserting a comment like that on that amateur test video and website!

My rhetoric will end when Blinder ends the lie. Blinder can still be the best on the marketÖjust hope they try a more honest approach on the marketing.

If I could help people in the city council I would love to take the job. Whistleblowing is productive to the people who are making a decision on what product to buy. Some people are okay with 400í punch through and some people arenít. Some people are going to just buy Veil and the Laser shield till the new laser jammers hit the market(antilaser). Your opinion on what is productive or not is only relative to what youíre interested in, not necessarily what the general public is interested in.

Good question. Who said the Laser Mimic doesnít jam at the headlights? With a poor mounting job any laser jammer will have a disadvantage with headlight shots. Hopefully this weekend Iíll get a car with a proper mounting location, unlike my poor Scion TC. If the jammer fails to jam at the headlights with a good mounting position I will state on the website exactly what you said.
