For optimum performace you might want to wipe any salt resedue off of the blinders every day so they have a clear view. Besides that, you should be good!

During the winter, if it is snowing any ro slushy- the blinder wont do you any good. (on my car at least) the slush will build up on it fast and cover the lense.

However, this should bother anyone because if its snowing or slushy out- you shouldnt be speeding to begin with.

I think you can just put a headlamp-washer system onto the blinder.s. Put wipers on and clean blinders at same time.

Keep the lens as clean as possible. Any build up is going to hurt the Blinders protection. A small amount of wax will keep the lens clean.

How about some Rain-X on the lens?

I am not sure if Rain -X leaves any film protection.
A wax on and wax off works real well.
