Default Device for triggering Blinders for testing....

    Hey guy,

I was just curious if there was a device out there to trigger the blinders to test them, I have looked into laser range finders but they are fairly expensive for a decent one, I was thinking about making my own unit with a set of 904nm Laser diodes, but am having trouble figuring out how to get them to pulse at the right speed, on top of that, for some reason the LEO's here seem either know my car or refuse to laser me, everytime I see a speed trap i make multiple U turns to attempt to test my blinders, and with every pass either the car infront of me gets lasered or the car behind me does, I have had my blinders in my new car for about 4 months and have yet to see them function

So has anyone found a device to test the blinders with?

    Thanks,
    Darren

From roy you can get a Target Radar and Laser tester if he still has one or you can buy a laser range finer they even sell ones that will tell you the speed

I came across a small inexpensive device just last week which claims to duplicate 5 kinds of laser signals,ultrlyte,lti,pl3,atlanta and another.
We never had the need to buy one of these we always had access to speed guns.I am going to see whether I should get some.

    Does it look like this?

If so, beware, this is the same company selling the M-100 Megajammer, which apparently doesn't work.

    hmmm...
yeah, last i heard, they were working on labels. i don't know if it's the same one with different labels or not.
my guess would be yes, though, since the Megajammer has different names.
I would say be cautious if you get it, or at least be sure you can get a refund if it doesn't work.
Also, if they say one of the test modes is the LA stealth mode, i would be very skeptical, since at the time they made these, they didn't even have one for testing.

Yeah, the megajammer doesn't even jam stealth mode.

a remote control will trigger my blinder m-20 , the reaction of the blinder is not full , it is a very weak noise coming from the buzzer and the led does not react at all.

but it gives you the certainty that the unit is working , i emailed the manufacturer about a test = they told me that if it goes off at start up , then everything is ok = self test diagnosis .

They won't. The pens aren't pulsed and the wavelength isn't the same.
