Default Laser Shooting Question to be addressed!

As discussed on other boards, such as the radar testing sites, it appeared to me that police can use the windshield to get a laser reading. Most have posted about jammers for the bumper, head light, and even licence plate or reflectors, but what about the windshield? There is no protection for that is there?

The windshield is not a factor. Only the chrome trim around the windshield would be a threat. Officers are NOT trained to aim at the winshield anyway. It's the least reflective part of the car.

Agreed. Most of the laser beam will pass through the windshield. What little that does get reflected will be reflected upwards due to the angle, not back to the gun.

To prove this, shine a laser pointer at your windshield at night. Can you see the beam reflected off the windshield? Probably not, though you could see the beam reflected off objects inside the car (seats, etc.).
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

I can shoot a window about 400ft and get a reading on my rangefinder.

Laser beam goes through the windshield, therefore LEOs can use Lidars from the car, too.
