About six weeks ago I purchased a Blinder M25. This was before I found
this forum. I found this site by looking for install advice. I also
was interested to see what others had to say about the M25.
I keep reading this forum trying to find any definitive information about
the new M25. Some claim it works great, others say it's flaky and to stay
away. I believe my install is good but I really have no way of testing
it. I can see the heads firing on my cell cam. The system self tests fine
and I can trigger it with the remote, but I have no way of telling if this
thing will work for real (when it counts) on the road.
I emailed the "Guys of Lidar" a week or so ago and they told me that
they have not tested the new M25. I keep looking on this site and can't
seem to find anyone that has done a proper install ( proper alignment
and distance between heads, verified good electronics, all head firing
etc. etc. ) and has tested the unit against a few typical lidar guns.
Why would a company like Blinder who's M20 and M40 products, that
have been reviewed and provide good performance, produce
a new unit that is supposed to compete with the likes of the LPP and LI
but has worse performance than their previous models ? I suppose
it is possible, but it seems like it would spell doom for the company
I'm not looking for a comparison between Blinder and LPP etc. I
understand that one technology may work better than the other but
it seems that there is an theme running through some of these posts
that the M25 doesn't work at all, or so poorly that it isn't worth
considering. Hence, my search for some test data with a few guns
and a verified setup.
Perhaps I'll have to rent a gun and test myself, but I have no idea
where to get one of these... ( LTI , ProLaser 3 etc. )
