Insurance Fact: around 80% of all accidents are NOT caused by speed, but by people making mistakes, usually due to distraction/lack of attention. Attentive speeders are less of a hazard than most of the inattentive driving public.

What difference on the Blinder M25 at least has anyone noticed between the J 15 and the J 16 series? Also how hard is it to install? I noticed professional installation is recommended. I live in a rural area and would hate to have to travel 2-3 hours to find a professional installer.

There is a audio /electronics store about 45 miles from here but I dont know if they have any experience installing laser jammers. Have to edit here, I think xxx said jam to gun. Unfortunately I didn't save his email. Now I wish I had oh well- old age setting in I guess.

Thanks

No difference inJ15 vs J16 here in the states. J16 makes some revisions for European laser guns.

If you have some basic mechanical and electrical ability it's not a hard install, depending on the vehicle. My Vette took about 4 hours while the F-150 took about 2. That time included fabricating brackets and were 4 head installs.

The key is getting the heads straight and level.

Thanks- I received an email from xxx stating with the J16 it was JTG but GOL results suggest differently if based on J15. I have a 2007 Chevy Cobalt LS.

If you, and other jammers users like you, keep jamming LEOs all the way to the gun like that, laser jammers will be outlawed everywhere in no time. Please learn to turn them off once you're down to the speed limit.

As I always say, forget about the bigger picture of such JT(F)G practices "getting jammers outlawed."

The bigger problem, I think, will be fallout against that specific individual jammer user.

To-wit, how many of us here, in this community, have attracted our own "fan base," when it comes to enforcers?

Do this one too many times, in your local/most-frequented areas, and you can well-bet that your vehicle *_WILL_* become a specific target for enforcement activity.

I'm also seriously worried about our local governments severely increasing the penalties for owning and using such equipment. Right now it's cheaper than a speeding ticket where I live, so it's a no-brainer. I think this will change dramatically at some point. I think that sometime in the near future, we laser jammer users will see much higher fines and higher penalties. I'm sure that at some point, the crime level of using a laser jammer will be that of a misdemeanor, as opposed to the current level for me, which is an infraction and a fix-it ticket. I know that in some places in Europe, these devices equal jail time.

yep

in the UK, there has been at least one case where the person caught using a jammer (a target LT400) has been fined heavily (around £5K) and banned from driving for a year or so .

granted, no such precedent has been set in Ireland yet but i wont be JTGing too many times (or at all) here just in case.

just watch any of my vids .
