Default Help me Pick out a Jammer for my F150

I'm wondering if there is a cheaper alternative to the M40-45 blinder laser jammers that are not junk.. If not I will be forced to buy the blinder but they seem to be very expensive. I already have a Sti Driver but want to complete the protection with a jammer. Any suggestions

The only other cheaper alternative I would consider would be the LaserMask. I say this only because GoL test put it very close to Blinder. The Blinder is also a "GREAT" jammer and would serve you well. The Zr4 "IMO" did not do well enough to justify the cost.

There is nothing cheaper that isn't of questionable performance and quality, that I can see. The Laser mask runs about the same price, give or take twenty bucks, and didn't perform as well as the Blinder. Laser Pro Park is more expensive than the Laser Interceptor and didn't perform as well as the Laser Interceptor, but did edge out the Blinder. However, you could get four Blinder heads for less than two LI or LPP heads and outperform them. Blinder is the most bang for the buck, hands down. And for a full-size pickup, I would not even consider running with less than four heads of ANY jammer, simply because of coverage distribution. No matter how powerful your heads are, if they are too far from your weak points (the 18 inch rule), then you are vulnerable.

Usually, the 18 inch rules doesn't seem to apply to diode jammers.

Also, I think CCC (he drives a Benz SUV) has been able to get JTG with a dual LI system, as did someone else with a AL G8 on a Dodge 2500 (still can't remember, was it you mthman?)

Either way, I can understand trying to go for a cheaper solution. The Blinder j15's seemed to be pretty good for a 2 head system in the GOL test. What color and year is your F150? I'm wondering if maybe you could get away with a 3 head system, though that might be hard.

I'm of the opinion that two LI heads can cover the front of that truck very well. This would also leave the opportunity to later expand and protect the rear of the truck with two more LI heads using the original control box.

You can no longer get the J15 anymore..Blinder has moved on and is now shipping J16 heads which have some extra tweeks to them.

Really? Hmmm... It should have at least the same performance as the J15's, right?

Can you use the J15 and J16 heads on the same control box? I was thinking of adding a rear head but I have the J15 heads on the front. I am planning to use the 4 head Blinder on my F150. It has been great on the Vette and now that I have Veil even the Stalker should not be a great concern.

The new J16 are just for a added Europen gun so wouldn't worry to much about changing. You will get pretty much the same performance from the J15 and J16 heads. There have been some minor adjustments to the LEDs but the major change is the adding the gun. Performance will be the same.
