    Default Honda Accord & Blinder

This is my first time posting so forgive me if I ask something that has already been addressed. I want to add the Blinder Xtreme to my car. I can't decide if I should go with the M25, M35 or M45. I know there are a lot of advocates for the LI, and quite honesty an option I wish I could pursue, but in this economy with family to supprot, I cannot afford to go that route, because I couldn't settle for basic. I figured that if I loaded up the front, I could reduce my odds of punchthrough. I heard a rumor that Blinder is coming out with a revision this year, possibly a more powerful unit?

Thoughts, advice on placement, feasibility, etc.?

My car is a silver 2004 Honda Accord Sedan V6

    Thanks,

It's not a large car, so I think two jammers might work; might not be a need for the extra two heads. I'd go with the M25 in the red; if you get 4 heads, try the yellow to augment.

    Good luck!

    Thanks,
A M25 placed in the red spots would give good coverage and result in minimal P/T.

Here's what was explored for jaminc, on SpeedTrapHunter :

    Blinder Upgrade - Page 4
^ start there, on page 4.

It looks like this particular vintage of the 7th-generation USDM Honda Accord carries a point-weakness generated by the bumper skin's configuration.

    Thanks to everyone's response.

TSI you are actually referring to me (jaminc) on the other site...wasn't thinking when I created different screen names...LOL!

Like any good research, I just wanted to explore every possible option and hear varying opinions. Good to see a familiar enthusiast.

It seems like everyone has a different thought on where the best placement would be.

I am seriously considering going with the M35 and placing two in the upper grills as illustrated and one in the center below the lower bumper. I have also considered running all three under the bumper in the lower grill area.

    Any continued thoughts are appreciated.

I would go for the yellow locations because you still get center mass protection and in the yellow locations the heads are 4 in. wider and that would give you alittle extra coverage that can be the difference between a save or a PT with a shot on the headlight area's.

That a good point and I still would fall within the 18" rule of coverage from the head to the lights and may even help protect the weak point as TSi has mentioned in other post. If I added the center head then center mass would be fairly well protected. If I went M45 I could cover the whole front end very well top to bottom. As I stated in Speed Trap Hunter, I am realistic in my needs and wants. I do not drive like a bad out of !@#%! and usually stay within a reasonable speed, therefore, I am looking for that extra time to get under the speed limit when I get a little too close to edge. I know JTG would be incredible if it could be accomplished all of the time, but I don't think that is realistic and thus i have set my expectations accordingly.

A few seconds to slow down before punchthrough or before I killed the jammer would be more realistic.

    Thanks for your input.

Sorry but I'll disagree with that one....The red locations are high near the lights but close enough to protect the plate..I would be more concerned with those bis ass lights.

Totally agreed! I'm very glad that you made it here!

    Exactly.

Like I said before, without first-hand testing on your very vehicle, we're left to a guessing game.

steagall's M55 (M25 top, flanking the Honda badge, "red" - J15 revision; M35, low in the "yellow" areas - J11 revision) offered incomplete protection likely due to their revision's specific configurations.

With the J16, it's now again anyone's guess, as no one has tested this precise setup, in precisely the same way.

Without actual testing, we're all left to our best guesses and best intentions, unfortunately.

    For the OP,
with the M25 is more than enough protection. You can add the extra heads later if you're not satisfied with the performance.
Also, where are you located? are you running front plate?

BTW I like the red spots
