    Audizine member?

Hey, let me know how this turns out, or I'll let you know how it turns out for me once I buy it and have it installed (within a month hopefully)

I also have a black b5 a4, we're pretty lucky though, even without a jammer or veil, for some reason it seems to take cops a while in any area I've been, to get a reading on my car - long enough where I have had ample time to slow down by the time they get a reading. I also sanded down the chrome trim, then painted it black and have an audizine plate from on in the front.

In all honesty, I think the new mx7 will work ok in the lower grills with a coat of veil on your headlights, but I will probably install mine higher just for the peace of mind and greater efficiency.

If you take up that offer from the local in your area, definitely mount it low and have it tested, I'd be very interested in the results.

    Best of luck.

Yes, I'm an audizine member. And yes, I had Veil on the headlights in that picture. I have since removed it since I didn't like the look of it. I still have a light coating of Veil on the chrome, I never bothered to remove that.

I suppose I could temporarily mount the heads on the lower grill and then test it (I have a Pro Laser II, if it can JTG that it should be able to JTG just about anything).

I just have to wait (impatiently) for the M27/47 to become available!

I own a TruSpeed and a PLII, but I currently have a Stalker also. The problem is that the Stalker and the TruSpeed are leaving with my brother on Saturday morning, so if you want to test against the Stalker, it has to be between now and Friday. The TruSpeed will eventually be back, but I'm not sure exactly when, maybe a month from now or so.

Well the M27 needs to be released first . I don't expect to have it installed for at least another month considering the delays. No worries Blinder-Guy, I'm patiently waiting.

How would you know that it takes a while? The V1 is pretty good at picking up laser scatter. It may have been that it alarmed after picking up scatter from a shot on another car, then again (or continued to alarm) when the LEO shot you.

Sounds like a good idea. Got any pics (with the plate blurred out of course)?

No plans on Veiling anything. I've spent enough $ on this "hobby" already. Every time I do, my wife declares she can spend an equal amount on clothes. Our closets are so full of crap as it is, I'd rather just slow down than find room for more dresses and shoes.

Probably what I'll end up doing. I doubt it's going to work, but if it does it saves me from the fugly and PITA upper grill install. Downside to this of course is having to reinstall in the upper grill if it doesn't work, unless I want an expensive laser detector.

Separate bank accounts for the win. Just use the excuse of how can I ever surprise you with a gift if you can see I charged something on our account.

So, when she's out, gather up all the dresses and shoes she NEVER WEARS and sell/donate them. Preferably sell and then use to buy more countermeasures.

kpatz - i am in the concord nh area and should have a M27 soon. i will be installing it on my 04 A4 in the upper grill (hopefully -2nd to bottom slat). I would like to meet up sometime and make sure it works since you have a gun, and this might be an opportunity to compare installs.
