Default Blinder placement on a '99 Mazda Miata

I have already ordered my Blinders and some Veil but I'm not sure about the placement.
Has anyone installed Blinders on a Miata?

I'm not sure how large the blinders are and I can't really think of a spot to mount them that's 9" away from the headlights.
I don't have a front licence plate so I don't have the to worry about.

Here is a link to a photo of a '99 Miata:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Robert

Use Veil on both the headlights and foglights to drastically reduce their lidar reflectivity. Then, I would mount the blinders about two feet apart on top surface in the air dam opening on the bottom of the bumper. Make sure that you do not recess the units too far in the opening so they both will detect a laser hit even if it is off-axis a bit. If you feel uncomfortable doing it yourself at all then get it professionally installed.

    OK, works for me.
That will be well outside of an 18" circle centered on the headlights, but you guys are more in the know then I am.

Do you know of any good installers in the Dallas, TX area?

    Thanks
    Robert

I haven't had direct experience installing one of these things, but it appears the bumper may act as a limiting factor here.

Am I correct in assuming that there is no room below the headlight themselves for the transponder.

VEIL will "take out" the lights which may allow for improved flexibility to placement of the m20's xponders.

The following is a list of places that install the Passport SR7 & Shifter ZR3 from Escort. If you call them maybe then can install the Blinder for you. You may want to get some references or chat with a local car guru first to see who does the best work for the least. I say this because I hunted this info down and have no personal experience with these places.

If you have a good mechanic whom you trust and are friendly with ask him if he knows of a good speed shop in the area. They should be able to install it.
Or you could get one of those instalcards from Roy. I doubt he'd deal with them if they weren't good.

    Veil Guy,
I don't know what the blinders actually look like, so I don't know if it will fit along that ridge in front of the headlights. When I get the set I'll know more.
I've even toyed with the idea of putting them inside the headlights, but I don't know how feasible that will be.

    Thanks!
    Robert

I'd be careful with that idea as the heat generated from the lights may cause issues with the jammer equipment.
