    Default First M47 finished install

This is the first finished install of a M47. You can see in the picture the bracket to hold the rear heads in place. That kept me from having to drill in the back bumper. After testing I shall see if I have to move them or not.

and yes I know I need a car wash, I drive 120 miles each day back and forth to work, bugs tend to hit things. But I still get 32 MPG at 85mph

Excellent job! Very professional looking. Do you have a close up of the front heads? Interested to see how they attached.

Impressive. I have an 06 4 Cyl Altima and I get about 26-27 mpg at 85.

not yet maybe tomorrow but pretty simple, the front small grill was taken out and a few ribs removed to make room. Using new metal angle brackets like that back I installed them on the blinders first. Then using the self tapping screws from the kit I screwed them into the grill. Not the prettiest (or safest if you try to open the hood and don't know about the screws it will chew your hands up, but if you are under my hood without me you deserve it) install but it's very tight and does not move around at all, I might put some new screws with nuts to prevent injuries and for a cleaner look.

and all this from a 1995 vehicle, I feel that we are really not making progress in the auto world (this from an auto engineers point of view). What we do with cars today is counter productive to fuel economy. We want big, quiet and powerful cars yet want good gas mileage. It just does not work that way, my car is noisy on the highway becasue it has almost no sound insulation and it light as hell (2200lb) but becasue of that I can get great mileage.
