Default Blinder M*7 Head Connector Project

Does anyone know what kind of cable/wire/cord runs between the heads and the cpu unit? I'm going to look into soldering/crimping in some connectors so I can easily remove the heads without having remove the entire cord that goes into the main cpu unit. It would just be that much easier since it would be such a pain removing all that wire once its in place. Winter is around the corner and I don't want to run the heads all the time unless I'm cruising on the highway. Is it a telephone wire? rj45? etc?

It's RJ9, but why would you want to remove the heads in the first place?

I would leave it alone and not mess with them. I don't think the winter is going to affect the heads. They are supposed to be weather proof and if not, I think we would be hearing alot of noise about it on the site.

    Just my opinion.

Well, not necessarily a silver bullet as eventually the warranty will be over and you can do w/your stuff what you wish; the issue may be that a connector and a plug would have to be placed somewhere higher under the hood and even then protected from moisture e.g condensation followed by corrosion and lost connection...

If I remember right the circuit board is covered in epoxy/silicone, even if water did get in there it would not do anything. I pressure wash may car all of the time and not have had any trouble and that is way worse than anything winter could do.

For him to be able to remove just the heads fast and easy, he would have to cut the wires and provide male-female connection between the firewall and the heads. While the heads are epoxy sealed the newly created connection will not be waterproof.

true but if you leave enough slack if anything happens to the wires you can redo it. Water to the wires it's self shouldn't do anything unless the board gets shorted due to it for some unforseen god saken reason
