    Default '05 Avalanche w/M27&Veil Vs ProLaser2

I met up RadarRob today and we did several runs with my truck against his PL2.

    First run

    PHL: PT 1050 & 582
    DHL: JTG

We flipped the Passenger side head so wire was in.

    Second run

    PHL: 991
    DHL JTG
    CM: JTG
    Fog light: 40

    Third run:

    PHL: 1128
    PHL: 823
    DHL: JTG

We remounted the Passenger side head closer to the HL and changed the horizontal angle a bit.

    Fourth run:

    PHL: 704
    DHL/CM: JTG

We figured I had a bad Passenger side head so we focused testing on that side. I power cycled right before I went down the test track and got the following results on the next 4 runs.

    JTG
    JTG
    743
    JTG

Any where else on the front end was JTG so I'm thinking I have a bad head.

I'd like to thank RadarRob for taking the time today to shoot my truck, if you need your jammer tested PM him cause he is the man.

Look at the head through a cell phone camera while shooting it to make sure all the LED's are firing. If you have a Sony camera with night shot mode that works great also.

Picture of your install? You might have your heads mount too low which would yield PTs on the HLs.

Also, were you shooting all shots from the same side of the road? If so, it is not unusual for the far side to be weaker than the near side. That's why GOL style product tests are shot down the middle. But for testing your individual set-up, you want to shoot from both sides of the road. When you do, you may see the results flipped.

We only had PT on one side and both heads where mounted the same. It seems when I power cycled the unit right before I went down the track the passenger side preformed better.

Rob also targeted the head directly and we had PT at the 700ft range.

In this case, the far side was strongest.

I have a feeling that those high PT are coming from the fog lights. If you get another change to test out the system, take them out temporary and do some runs. That and you have tons of chrome for a led jammer. Not only do you have dual lights and fog lights but you also have the grill with the chevy emblem/chrome strip and the bumper has chrome on it too. If you were to black out the bumper and the grill I would bet you would be JTG all of the time with just two heads.

But for just a two head install, it did very good in my opinion, it's just that a two head system does not have the power for that much reflective surfaces.

I would agree with you if we had PT on both sides, but we didn't. Rob was shooting the gun so maybe he will chime in. We did get JTG on PHL but only when I power cycled the unit before I ran down the track.

Rob did get PT on the fog light but @40 feet which I can't complain about.

I was very impressed with the results, I'm sending the passenger side head back for replacement and we'll shoot again.

    M27+Veil for about little over 400.00 I can't complain.

On a side note my Pro-78SE alerted to laser with the correct PPS.
