there was a working pic
here is another
does yours have a front plate?
If no plate then place in the grill in the 2nd slot from the bottom. As close to lights as possible.
even if the grill moves with the hood just rout them with existing wiring and go a really good job installing everything, nice and clean.
..and if cops lean out the window with a gun pointed at you, that means you probably shouldn't of jtg'd
my car has front plate.. with a smoked plate cover
the grille does move with the hood so maybe thats asking for trouble for future damage to the heads..
so lower grills bad idea ?
Depends on who you ask, but I say yes, bad idea.
I'd experiment with a stable way to mount in the grille before I'd take the risk of mounting low. Don't be slamming your hood like a gorilla and you shouldn't have any problems.
Pretty sure you can close the hood by resting it on the latch, then leaning on it. Seems to work for the B6s, unless the B5s are completely different.
I'd mount in the grille as well. I know LI jams in the lower grille (overpass shots not tested, though), but, not having tested the 27, I can't say if it would indeed jam down there. Go with the safe option, and go for grille.
EDIT: Well, guess lower is out of the question: http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...tml#post617204
Granted, that was an A4, and yours is an A6, but they seem similar.
