Default 2008 Ford Edge, sure is a lot of chrome up front

The red areas looks like the best place for two Blinder heads. I don't see where I'd actually be able to mount another pair where they'd provide much additional coverage, maybe one more in the middle. Anyone have a laser jammer system on an Edge? I'd be willing to use the Veil product on the chrome grill and lights, but I'm questioning whether the M27 will be enough.

Is that the color of your Edge? If so, a M27 won't be enough for that vehicle. I suggest you upgrade to a LI dual.

Who knoes an M27 could be enough though I would be ready to add to addittional heads to make it an M47 just in case

I never owned a Blinder but from what I have read, I wouldn't doubt Blinder. Laser Interceptor would be best for that car with that grill but we might be suprise what blinder can do. I was very impress with the JTG on the Infinity M37 and the G6.

    I think a M27 would work.

Just to follow up. I had the M27 installed at MeggaMaxx here in Marietta, along with tinting on the two front windows and a tint strip across the top of the windshield. I made sure to ask for the non-metallic tinting, and they knew what I was talking about since they sell detectors themselves.

The job took about 90 minutes and they installed the tint at the same time they were doing the M27. The heads went in the location I've got marked in red in the pic. They stick out a bit past the front edge of the chrome due the fact there grill has a slight angle to the main part, and sharper angle at the edges.

MeggaMaxx did a good job on the install and they're familiar with the Blinder system. As mentioned, it took 90 minutes and the cost was $150 (for the Blinder work). On a per hour basis it's kind of high, but I wouldn't have gotten a better install if they had kept the car for 3 hours, so I didn't mind paying. In fact, since I decided to wait, I was glad they did it so quickly.

150 bones is very reasonable for a jammer install as long as they are aligned, straight, and have clear view of the road.
