Default Blinder not alerting to laser

    Hi all,

Still having issues with my Blinder system not alerting to laser. It dawned on me that my V1 will alert every morning to laser at the tolls, from the led lights, but the blinder is quiet. Should this be the case?

I guess if it's not I'll have to return for another unit? Can't imagine a new system going bad this fast.

It's getting it's power on a switched 12v + wire, and the ground is straight to the chassis, with paint removed of course.

There's literally nothing to this system, so I'm scratching my head. Any household items I could use to set the thing off to test?

I would buy one of these:

Hand Held Radar Detector and Jammer Tester - Laser Jammers at Radar Busters

I wouldn't be worrying just because your Blinder isn't alerting to toll booth lasers.

the blinders have filters to stop them from falsing from infiniti/tolls/ LEDs.

mine have never once falsed. every time it goes of, it's a legit threat.

Toll booths will not set off the Blinder because it is not a pulse rate that is stored in the table. It has to be within a certain pulse range to react to it.

Bingo Mhardy, that's what I SHOULD have asked Figure's the minute i get a V1 I hold it high on a ivory tower...

I was using the toll booth like a science experiment "control" if it worked for the V1 it should have worked on the blinder.. I was wrong in my thinking.

Well, it's time to get the tester Not paranoid, cause I've gotten another false on the V1, saw the Infinity suv and arrows helped, the blinder was silent. Good filtering then Too bad V1 didden't have this built in.

My M47 never went off for 3 monts until I pulled my Cheetah wireless system out of the loop. It was causing my Blinder to not work at all and I had a bad head. After pulling the cheetah and even being down to one blinder head in front, it still pretty much saved my A$$ in a contruction zone recently in Southern California against the CA Highway Patrol. hey are cranking up speeding citations to try to help the state budget. It should be about safety but it comes down to monies instead...As an LEO I never got a penny from any of the hundreds of lidar (front and rear) and radar (front and rear) citations I wrote but I remember thinking in the back of my mind that my citations would help the city or county I was working for. Our agency never saw a penny either...It's all so foolish. So glad to be away from that mess!
