Question m27 under extreme weather & jtg questions

    hey guys

still kinda contemplating bel sti-r first or m27 first. anyways was wondering how well do the jammer heads work during and after -50c weather? I don't wanna splash money on something not suited for the climate here.

also, it is illegal to use jammers here. I've been reading around and wonder if the m27 will generate the jtg code on the laser guns letting the cops know of the jammer? I know most can react and turn it off in 4 secs and will that change the outcome? how bout the laser Atlanta stealth mode? does it work well against that?

bear with me... I'm new to this game. cheers and thank you!

I don't know if any electronics outside military-grade are designed to work in such extreme cold. But if it's that cold, you really think there will be too many LEOs running speed traps anyway?

As for the M27, it'll jam LA stealth mode no problem. All jammers cause jam codes on LA guns that have jam detection feature, but they are also notorious for throwing jam codes for just about anything else including headlights, sunlight, water droplets, what have you so a jam code isn't necessarily indicative of a jammer. As long as you slow down gradually and then shut off the jammer you should be fine.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Ah thanks for the clarification. Thats what I wanted to hear... the guns do jam even without a jammer. Thats great news then.

Ok back the the weather question. Assuming at such weather I do not turn the unit on, I would think it is also way below the mfc's recommended storage temp right? I can't seem to find anything on the web regarding that.

Think you're asking a question only the manufacturer can accurately answer, assuming they've tested them that low. I can't see any cop in his right mind is going to be shooting laser and writing citations at 50 below.

Can the Blinder Guy on here please chime in on this? Really want a definate yes/no.

I emailed Kmph.ca to ask about it since they would probably have a bigger Canadian clientele and here is their reply:
    Hi,

LPP can withstand harsh winters in Quebec according to our customers.
It actually warms up the diode fairly quickly after power up.

Part of Blinders testing is to put heads in a deep freezer for several hours then remove them and test to see if there are any problems with extreme cold affecting the heads performance...None so far!

I think it depends on where you live. Around my area all the cops are using laser now so having the jammer might be the smarter move.

Deep freezer probably goes -30c or so right? Could you please link that article about deep freezing as one of their test? Thanks!

I'm not going to link it...That was just a gift about our testing methods I gave you.

I have had my Blinders on in the NY winter which means: Road salts, -10 to -30 (F) on our coldest winter nights, driving through slush and sleet and all sorts of horrors and my Blinders still work well.

They have been known to be one of the most reliable jammers on the market.
