Default Anyone try to re-wire a head?

I've got a Blinder head that "may" still be good, but the wires been cut.

Can't i just use a ethernet cord ( 4 wires ), cut off one end, tie the blinder wires
up, and plug it into the cpu?

Would the cpu "see" the head if i made sure the ethernet wires were spliced the same
as one of the working heads?

    Anyone tried this?

    Thanks.

Why do you have a head with cut wires?

    To me:

    Cut wire = Stolen head?

It's probably not ethernet, if it's like the LI, it's likely RJ11 (same as telephone cord). I would suggest re-terminating the end of the cable over slicing the wires with an existing cable. You can get a basic cheapo cable crimper that does RJ11 and RJ45 for $10 or less. The connectors are pennies a piece.

This seems like a doable task.

No prob. If you were nearby I would do it for you. I have several crimpers and several dozen RJ11 connectors. Go to any hobby electronics store, or frys, or even bestbuy should have everything you need.

If you can find MEM-TEK you are on a new level! He vanished without a wave goodbye.

I use to talk to him regularly via PM but have not seen or heard from him in very long time.
