So how is my blinder supposed to activate a driveway light?

Not that I need it to but the back of the box does say
"Gate and driveway light activator"

I imagine the same way the parking sensor works, the gate/light would have a constant IR emitter that the blinder would pick up when you drive up, upon 'jamming' this, your gate would open / light turn on..
