    Default Need some installation help!!!

    Hi there,

I had my first laser ticket a few weeks ago.My V1 went off but he already had me.
Now i am looking into buying a Blinder M27 jammer.Just for the front as this is all i can afford right now.The Leo got me from the front.
I need some help in the install.I will purchase the Cheetah wireless kit to do the install myself. However,i have no idea what to do.
Can some of you explain to me how to use this wireless kit if any of you have used it.Like,do you put the module and everything in the engine compartment, and where do you put them in the engine compartment? What units go inside of your car?
Also where to put the blinder heads and how do you install these?Do you need to drill holes on your bumper or grills?
    Thanks for any help,much appreciated.

Read over the FAQ, then browse through the "Show off your install" section for a little while. You'll quickly figure out what needs to be done for the basic install. Someone else here can advise you about the Cheetah install. Good luck!

    Rayon,

I did the Cheetah install myself. It was very easy. Just follow the instructions. For me the error came when I plugged the male end into the wrong hole in the display

I thought I had plugged it into the power input and it turned out to be an audio output hole

    Oh well.

The hardest part is NOT the Cheetah install, it's finding the right place to mount the heads and getting them level and pointing straight. Not at an angle.

    Thank you AFineride.
Did you put 2 or 4 heads in front of your vehicle.I have a suv so don't know what to do.It is a 2002 tribute. There is no front license plate but lots bumper after the lights.
Did the brakets work good for you for installing the heads or you had to drill other holes etc.,
Also how about programming the cpu to work with your wireless kit?How did you do that.
    Any advice would be appreciated??

Do you have to reprogram the blinder to be constant on or you can use the default setting of six seconds when using the wireless kit???

Looking at a picture of a similar tribute.I would suggest at least three heads.
I would place two on the middle grill at the far end close to the headlights and 1 at the centre just below the license plate. If you could afford it,put two at the bottom at both ends also.

i think 2heads would do a pretty good job. other more experience members with testing may provide a better suggestion
