    Default "JammerTest" said m20 didn't jam 'Atlanta(stealt

Jammertest.com started selling more video's bashing RMR's on ebay.
-I sent them an email thanking them for providing a great service in hopes that people will not get ripped off and i got this response
    Dear Bidder,

Thanks for taking the time to email me your appreciation. We are going to come out with more test videos from different manufacturers that are very fun and educational to watch. We have found the blinder M20, the escort ZR3, and the Laser Mimic to work very well....blah blah blah plug for a new laser jammer not from blinder blah blah(I took that part out, obviously)...
None of the jammers we tested worked against Laser Atlanta's "stealth mode." :-(

    Chris
    JammerTests.com(will soon be under construction)
but on their site they link to SML testing of the blinder which says jam to gun

funny thing is I'm not going to pay for it when i can get the videos from teir site for free and also Roy's new page should be good

    He further goes onto say:
bought my Blinder m20 Xtreme almost a year after speed measurement labs stated it jammed stealth mode and when I tested it against a Speed Laser Type R with stealth the M20 didn't detect it. If I bought mine about a year after that SML test it sure makes you wonder how many thousands of M20's were sold to people thinking they were getting the most up to date software that sml tested. I can't believe Blinder couldn't at least write a software version number on the box, so people know if they're getting the new or old version(if the new version even exists.)

Did you know that Speed Measurement Labs also did a report for Laser Atlanta? In his test report he concluded the Blinder couldn't jam the stealth mode.

Default JammerTests cares and doesn't need your money

Yes, I am completely aware that the ALL the videos are available completely free of charge. You don't need to bid on Ebay to see the videos. Infact, all the auctions have free previews of the videos so you don't have to bid. I'm just sick and tired of seeing all these countless people fall for the RMR trap and eBay is not doing a darn thing about it. It's up to people like Radar Roy and I to disprove these jerks. The best thing anyone can do is place links to the videos all over the internet.

As far as the Blinder M20 comment I still stand behind that. It's entirely possible Blinder came out with a new M20, but the question is still how do you know if you're buying the new software version? Do not take this post as stab in the back for blinder. Blinder makes a wonderful jammer that jammed all my guns with the exception of the LA in stealth. That's all I'm saying and until I see a video showing the M20 jamming stealth I simply can't believe it. Speed Measurement Labs has written conflicting reports on the subject. On one report he made for Blinder he said the m20 jammed stealth. On another report for Laser Atlanta he said the blinder didn't jam stealth.

    Here is the partial report:

    "Laser Gun
    1/8 mile (660 feet)
    1000 feet
    1/4 mile (1320 feet)
    3/8 mile (1980 feet)

    J

    Stalker LZ-1
    J (E-4)
    J (E-4)
    J (E-4)
    J/Y (E-4)

Y= laser gun reported speed/distance. J=laser gun jammed with no speed/distance reading, E-4=laser gun showed officer jamming code

My only suggestion for Blinder International is to write version numbers on the box. Valentine 1 writes version numbers and other detector manufacturers use different model numbers when updates are made. To see the SML report made for Laser Atlanta by SML go to:

My understanding on Blinders is the differentiator [between versions] has been addressed by the term Blinder Xtreme.

So the M20/M40 Extreme all are capable of jamming the LA-S. I have seen this personally in an actual testing venue (one that I wasn't conducting.)

It took Blinder some time to figure out the new mode - which they did in short order and incorporated the improvements into the revised product.

I'd rather have a company that steps up to the plate to address new threats as they arrive than to have a company not be willing to invest the necessary R&D resources into improving their products when the situations arrive. I don't see it as a negative, but a positive.

We recently tested a Blinder that had been in operation now for almost two years and it still performed as well as a new one did. I have personally seen other laser jammers [from other manufacturers] fail only after a little use [mostly due to overheating design flaws.] The Blinder has proven itself to be a totally mature product in this regard and has demonstrated to me that it can provide for years of reliable and repeatable usage - and that's no bull.

They may be a new kid on the block from time to time [probably a copied/stolen design] but until a product has proven itself to withstand the test of time, I'd be very cautious, indeed...

Blinder has proven that not only does it perform extremely well, it does so over a period of a long time. This is especially important when one invests several hundred [or more] dollars into a professional installation job where one doesn't want to have to tear down the install to replace a unit that dies.

LA-Stealth mode is really a non-issue in the US. The IACP hasn't given its approval for use as a ticket writing operational mode and the majority of police officers who use the gun, know little or nothing about the capability and/or how to engage the function, even if they did.

Mega Kudos to them for trying to save would-be suckers from making a wrong purchasing decision, though. Great effort!

Well, I will agree with happy@$$ on this, laser is a beam of light, if it cant be jammed, then the next best thing is a can of good old american veil

Since veil simply reduces the effectiveness of laser, it will be a good investment for all the lasers that come out that can defeat jammers

I have to dissagree with Veil Guy. The Laser Atlanta's stealth mode is approved by the IACP. You can call up Laser Atlanta to verify this yourself or you can send an anonymous email to sales@LaserAtlanta.com

You can also call up the IACP and dial extention 215 for Jack Grant. He's one of the guys over there that deals with radar and lidar.

As I understand it, stealth mode was made for our european friends across the pond and their guidelines may be different.

Or perhaps its a timing issue...

At any rate, your information about the Blinder not being effective against the LA-S is out of date. And I don't blame a company for improving their products over the course of time, I applaud them for it. The Blinder Xtreme series, I believe, is the current package of the product and the product has no equal, period.
