    This is a great feature that allows for ease of removing heads if need replaced. No more having to rerun wires through firewall. I love mine!

    That's a good upgrade for maintenance in the future or bumper repair. But for the rest of the wire, are the wires easy to cut and splice? I'd think slipping the RJ12 through a loom-hole in the firewall will be cumbersome. Was thinking fishing the wires through and re-terminating would be easier.

    Unless you're experienced doing something like that already,that's not a good idea to try as a first timer.

    I'm pretty comfortable crimping connectors as long as they aren't cheap stranded wire but I'm guessing that's not the case. And, if they're standard rj12's I've got those modules in my toolkit.

    ^ - So long as you keep the color coded wires in the same slot location of connector as the original crimp is.I've seen ppl get them flipped-over & 180 degrees out of alignment !
