I can't seem to get it to flash though.. there software comes with no instruction, you'd think it'd be straight forward, I tried 'update cpu' said it was successful, but when I unplug and plug back in it shows old software version OR 0.0 as firmware version. I tried testing different voices, tried putting hungarian on and flashing and then turning the blinder on, still was English.. doesn't seem like it's flashing anything. There is an 'UPLOAD' button, but this button just gives a failed to find FW file... very odd.

meh. Figured it out my VPN wasn't letting the software connect to blinders servers when pressing UPLOAD.. all good now

Going to try to update to FW. 14.02.01 version today. Going to switch to world, for region, instead of USA. Startup sound on, constant jamming, sun interference off..BlinderUpdate 2014.01.07. I think this is the latest. HP 905

Why does it show on the downloader that I have FW 12.50.01 when I used FW 14.02.01 updater and updated my cpu with FW 14.02.01?

Virtual Private Network, seems this blinder software is a little buggy, you have to allow it to disable windows firewall and stuff to get it to work.

Still having trouble with uploading the FW14.02.01. Still getting error message when trying to upload...Followed directions, and disabled firewall to see if that would work, still getting error message....Still showing FW12.50.1..Could anyone give me ideas on what to try?? Took the last one fine....

Try uninstalling the blinder update tools and all traces of it and then re-install it. How are you doing the update? (i.e. laptop on wifi out to your car or are you bringing the cpu inside to a desktop and hooking it up there?) I suspect there might be an issue with wifi and this installer as I had issues with it when attempting outside in my car.

I have been taking my laptop to the car, like I have before...my internet signal is pretty strong when trying to upload.. I will try uninstalling all blinder update tools and reinstalling.. when trying to upload the update, I usually just unplug power supply and hook up the CPU to USB port and start program in auto.. also I will try a different USB port on my laptop.., its just a PIA to get the CPU from car, cause I used 3M double stick tape when installing...

Try uninstalling the blinder update tools and all traces of it and then re-install it. How are you doing the update? (i.e. laptop on wifi out to your car or are you bringing the cpu inside to a desktop and hooking it up there?) I suspect there might be an issue with wifi and this installer as I had issues with it when attempting outside in my car.
