    Default Compression Test?!?!?!

I ran a compression test on my CL (w/ F22B2 SOHC VTEC) and got about 160-170 on all cylinders

I looked around for numbers for my car, but couldnt find too many, I was wondering if anyone knew what it should be at, I also saw that you have to cut the fuel and the spark before running the test, how do I do that?????

oh and I keep hearing high numbers of cranks, about how many cranks per cylinder should I make and the duration of said cranks

any help would be greatly appreciated

What is your compression ratio? What is the barometric pressure? Multiply :P

You turn off fuel and spark because how do you fit the damn tester in there with a sparkplug in place Pull the fuel injector connectors off and the coil wire there ya go.

Crank the engine holding the throttle wide open. Though most cars at WOT will not fire the injectors while cranking, so maybe don't bother with the injector disconnect.

The big thing is that the compression isn't TOO low, and that it is even. If you have 160, 159, 161, 34 there is a big problem, maybe headgasket if you're lucky.

Yep, Saab is correct. 160-170 seems reasonable for your engine, as mine is 150psi across the board with an 8:1 compression ratio.
