While driving back from the airport last night I had an opportunity to make a quick run against a beautiful black Ferrari F430.
It was a half mile run with a small curve and a straightaway from the beltway exit up to the first toll booth in no traffic. I pushed hard into the first turn where the Ferrari was glued to my tail. Assuming I was slowing him down I signaled and moved to the right lane for the straight expecting him to blow by. The Ferrari stayed in the left lane but gained slowly on the long straight not pulling by nearly as fast as I expected. We slowed before the first toll and took are respective exits.
In all I thought the C6 held up pretty well for having a 90 hp disadvantange. I believe I'm a couple hundred pounds lighter but not sure how much of an advantage the weight would have been. Also, I'm not sure how stressed the Ferrari was for the first turn. I was pulling .7G which is outside my comfort zone for the street. He may or may not have wanted to push any harder either. But I'll asume it was cake for the 430 since he was following so close.
Besides being at night, road conditions seemed good however it was a bit irresponsible so I won't be offended if you feel the need to flame on me about it.
