I have never adjusted it. My compressor just fills to 150 and then it gives about a 5 second burst and has to fill up again. Thats the only thing about these things. They require a lot of air. I think you said you have one right?

If you get a tank it can go longer. But for the sound to be lower I don't know how you would do it unless you were to block the output of the horn or something. I don't know if less pressure would give you the same horn effect.

I don't have one yet. I'm only going to order one if I can figure out some way to stick it on the roof without it falling off. The weight and aerodynamics make it hard to find a way to mount it though.

Right now, it's looking like I won't buy one because I don't have any idea how I could attach it to my roof without bolting it down.

Read this. It's from that link.

    # At a 70psi you will regret standing next to our horns. Cats will hiss, babies cry. Hearing damage possible.
    # At 90psi bystanders will be in pain. They may cuss at you.
    # At 110psi the sound hurts. Bystanders will cuss you.
    # At 120psi you feel the sound rip through your body. You never get "used-to" it.
    # At 150psi the blast is simply shattering.
    # At 200psi its over the top

I just got an email from a magnet company. They said this:

"One or more of the larger neodymium magnets should work but there is no way to predict which combination is best. Some issues are:

    1) Speed you drive

    2) Aerodynamics of horn

    3) Type & thickness of metal on roof.

    etc."

    Another company told me this:

"Thank you for contacting us. For holding the horn, I recommend using our MM-B-style Mounting Magnet Assemblies (http://www.kjmagnetics.com/products.asp?cat=111). One or two of these should securely hold the horn in place. These assemblies are designed to allow for easy attachment using standard hardware like screws, nuts and bolts. You will probably need one of the MM-B-32 parts, or two of the MM-B-25 parts. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask."

I'm just gonna mount it under the hood. Not a big deal.

    I hope it fits! 18 1/2" long. 15 1/2" wide. 12 1/2" tall.

    Cheers!

I've always wanted to get a tiny car like a SMART and then installed a huge train horn like this on it.

The smaller the car, the funnier it is.
