Default Where can I buy magnets for a car horn?- sticking it on roof

I want to mount this train horn on the top of my car and I want it to be easy.

Where can I get a magnet that is pretty thin, but strong?

I was gonna crazy glue the bottom of the magnet to the bottom of the horn.

    Thanks guys!

if I could see the pic I would say something specific, but for right now I'll assume youre talking like an air horn........... in which case if its not too heavy i'd use some 3M molding tape, or 3M Mounting squares....... these things REALLY do their job well, but you might need something that'll resist the aerodynamic drag trying to pull that thing off as you drive at highway speeds........ there will be no difference anywhere below about 60MPH, thats where Aerodynamics really start to enter the picture

    Here's a link.

I just called the guy who's selling it and he says the horn weighs 15 pounds.

I'm still thinking if I could obtain a magnetic base that's on a strobe light, I could just take that and attach it to the horn.

If your looking for a train horn or something along those lines go to www.hornblasters.com The horns mount under the hood and not on top of the vehicle. You can buy the whole system for less then what you can buy a radar detector for and you are buying from a trusted company. BTW if you blow the horn and a cop just happends to drive by would you want the horn on top of your car? I certainly wouldn't.

I would get it installed under the hood, but the car I'm getting is temporary.

Everything I buy for the car has to be movable ( example: radar detector).

I can get an air tank with horn for $250 with shipping.

I suppose if it's going to be a hassle, I shouldn't buy it.

Honestly....I've had a thing for trains ever since I was a toddler.

    They are so fascinating....

I wish I could own a really big diesel engine instead of a car :P.

I got a train horn on my truck. Thing is massive. Love it. But 2 weeks after I got it, it popped a hose inside the compressor I have yet to find the right hose.

Here is the one I have. Right now it's so big that I don't know where to mount it. I had to put it in the bed of my truck.

I would put them on the top of my truck but I just think it might look tacky but then others say no it gives the truck a nice look.

Ha ha. That's the one I want.

I'd like to have one. I'm in love with train sounds and being around trains .

I don't think I could mount it anywhere if and when I get this Saab heh.

Anyone know where I can get a magnet for it?

outrun - Can you adjust your compressor so it's not too loud? It'd be nice to be able to turn down the PSI for the volume level. Could you also tell me how big the base of the horn is?
