Yours? Man the gas mileage and gotta stink. :x
A Duramax, I see. :? Naw, J/K
Actually, for their size, these diesel trucks get pretty decent gas milage.
Oh I love the Duramax. The D-Max is the best engine in that segment, and it's a great motor even amoung any on the road today. Oh it's so kickass :P First engine to hit North America with common-rail injection, and it has 32 valves operated by a single camshaft...
I thought you couldn't run a diesel on LPG or gas aswell? I've seen petrol/gas combinations how ever. Nice truck BTWOriginally Posted by ELVATO
Diesel's always get better mpg than unleaded fuel. They just have VERY BAD emissions! Diesel cars are illegal in MA.
Hehe, I meant decent diesel milage :POriginally Posted by RadarRick
I love to apparent limitless torque one can find in a diesel
I'm making a 341 mile trip one way on Friday and I'll hand calculate MPG when I get back and post it up. 8)
There are some sick trucks on www.dieselplace.com
This guy runs an 03 DMax with 1004 RWHP and 1958 ft/lbs torque :!:
  8)
No... Diesel by nature has more energy per gallon, and the engine process is also more efficient, so you get a big boost.Originally Posted by Synbios
They tend to put out very low unburned fuel, but more particulates and NOx than gas engines. So now we put particulate filters and catalysts to bring that down. Recently California put really stringent standards on that stuff and several states adopted the same, and VW pulled out of the market. Now you are seeing selective catalyst reduction setups with urea injection to eliminate the NOx, and thus be very eco-friendly and also legal everywhere. IMO you are going to see a lot more diesel passenger cars in North America in 10 years time.
