Definitely Alpine Type-R's or Sony Xplod.

Get a sony or pioneer amp.

You probably want either a dual 10 inch or single 10 inch setup.

the Polk MOMO line is nice, hard hiting and clean at a reasonable price, im about to get one for myself actually......., Alpine Type-Rs are nice but IMO too expensive

stay away from Sony Car Audio stuff, they suck, I use only Sony for home audio, but will never touch it for car audio

DFW Stereo off Northwest Highway in Grapevine (right next door to the new Chicken Expres that just opened up there), best prices in the metroplex as far as I know.......... this guy really wants your business, real good selection and not very much overhead (yeah, the shop looks like crap on the outside, but theres a whole lot of hardwarre inside......... and his installers are top-notch..... oh yeah, and if you decide to hit him up, tell him that Oliver, the Vietnamese guy sent ya

otherwise it'll be Car Toys for me

How much money do you have to spend...

Because if you want SQL, I don't see much of it in any of the above suggestions... Type-R's are 'ok'...

And define what you mean by 'small'?

Without knowing the $$$ we are working with
I would recommened a 10inch Orion H2 for your sub... always a solid SQL choice... though a bit of $$$.

    RE also makes amazing subs.

Xplod are the best money/performance ratio.

I don't know why you guys don't like Sony, a couple of my friends have dual 12 inch xplod with sony amp and they're almost as loud and clear as dual 12 inch type-r. Best buy has deals for the xplods sometimes and you can pick them up dirt cheap.

I don't like Rockford Fosgate Punch, those are something I would stay away from IMO.
