I'm going to keep it short...
He has a 1993 Mazda RX-7. It was pushing mid-high 300's at the rear wheels. (361 before real tuning).
Problem is he has blown the Apex Seal in it 2 times. He now is thinking of putting the LS1 corvette motor in it. Has anyone had any experience with this? It is supposed to be a very solid swap. It takes the weak-link out of an otherwise 'perfect' car.
Anyone have any thoughts... basically he really doesnt want to have to keep rebuilding the rotary engine, just to have it keep failing.
He is very car-savy (one of those amazing motorheads, who loves power). He has had an abundance of cars pushing 300+HP. Including:
A ~500HP Tsi
The 1993 RX-7
A ~300HP Integra
Not to mention numerous bikes (600,750,100)
He currently has a Civic 4door LX (2000) completely swapped over to an Si Engine, brakes, suspension, gauges etc etc etc... if that says anything.
So what do you think? Dependable swap, or big head-ache?
