It comes with pre-installed maps... still trying to figure out if you can update it or what, the manual is pretty big, and I just woke up and the thing still isn't even installed yet :P

Install done, I'll take pics later, absolutely love it =D. The install area had a motion detector so the K band was constantly beeping as they kept turning the key on/off to test the stereo, apparently the guy didn't figure out what my remote mute button, and my detector was in auto mode instead of highway mode by the end of install, other then that the guy seemed to know what he was doing and it took 3 1/2 hours to complete install.. so glad I didn't have to put that b1tch in
