After a couple years of implicitly encouraging Scion owners to rice their cars to hell and back, I just saw this ad on TV...it features a caravan of Scion rice rockets (well okay, they're Scions, they're probably not rockets) driving through the desert to some big meeting...with this disclaimer:
Owner vehicles shown, may not be street legal, modified with non-Genuine parts which may void warranty and adversely impact performance/safety.
In other words, yes this brand is build on the message that we want you to rice the cars. Just don't ACTUALLY do it, that's stupid and we don't support it.

If your local police dept. operates their guns upside down, they will be producing these signals and your upside-down detector will pick up just fine."
This forum has an odd obsession with poop. happya$$: "Think of POP as POOP."
wanderingmind: "The RD gods are going to poop on you." sethy: "Change that sig or ill poop on you" kpatz: "It's a "men pooping while working" sign. " <<JAZZY>>: "Craig Peterson is a loser that needs to be thrown off a mountain into a lake of poo!"

Not that Subaru's that generous on this regard..... It's not like dealership nightmares have never been heard of within the community nor that on Subaru Forums - and no-one goes by the title-line of "completely stock, I swear!"
Nor Mitsubishi, for that matter. Remember when Mitsu reps came out to the first DSM shootout, to the anger of David Buschur?
Marketing <> Reality.

Yeah but "Subaru" is not a brand built on the concept that each and every vehicle will be bought purely to rice it. I mean watch the Scion commercials...do you see a single car that's actually stock?
Never. It's almost as if they're admitting the cars are pointless, out of the box
As for the 108 horsepower engine, I suppose that's not so bad compared to the venerable "2.SLOW" 110 horsepower 2.0 that they were putting into VWs all the way through 2005

^^ Which is why I waited until they plopped in the 200hp/205lb/ft turbo charged 2.0 in the GTI.
I, obviously, am sleep deprived at this point, I'm outta here..........
