Trip log:
Naperville, IL - Start
--Started at 6am with a clean car and a full tank of gas
--No cops in IL, I love home
. A local was hiding on an on ramp in MI on I-94 but a trucker was nice enough to keep tapping his brakes.
St. Joseph, MI
--First stop off the interstate. Felt like a nice small beach town, you could drive up right next to the beach.
South Haven, MI
--Like St. Joseph but had a little more dunes.
Holland, MI
--More of an industrial town. We went to McDonalds for breakfast, but we forgot about the time change and they just switched to lunch.
Grand Haven, MI
--Very nice town, was very busy by the time we got there. Had the nice small town downtown thing going on.
Muskegon, MI
--We intended to eat lunch here, but couldn't find anything nice along the lake because it was all industrial. We ended up just driving through.
Whitehall, MI
--After Muskegon we searched the Garmin and found the Wayside Inn. It ended up being a shaddy little bar, so we ate a place called Pickadels, it was very good food.
Traverse City, MI -End Day One-
--We drove all the way to the end of the peninsula. This is were I saw my only other GTO. It had some very nice hilly and curvy roads through the vineyards. This was my favorite place on the trip.
Charlevoix, MI
--They planted flowers all along 31, crazy.
Petoskey, MI
--Another nice bay town. Bay Habor right before it was really nice too.
Mackinaw City, MI
--Small town, if it wasn't for the bridge or the ferries probably wouldn't be much.
Mackinac Island, MI
--Upscale island, no cars allowed

.
Manistique, MI --On M 2 they had signs about special enforcement saying this was a country route not a highway, lol. I got good distance on an alert to state tropper running Ka. I then couldn't help but laugh for the next couple miles about the ridiculous barney 5 light they have on their roofs. Spotted another parked on the side just talking on his phone.
--They honestly consider that a town?
Gladstone, MI
--Very industrial, everything closed on Sunday when we wanted to eat.
Escanaba, MI - End Day Two-
--You could tell this used to be an awesome town back in it's hayday. It had a nice marina, and our Comfort Suite was awesome. We also got 3 ice cream cones for $3.50, I was happy with that. There was also a rusted out Chicago Fire boat, random.
Marinette, WI
--First nice town we say, the UP is very boring and it all looks the same.
Oconto, WI
--Allegedly a great aunt used to live here. It had a nice down town.
Green Bay, WI --Spotted on cop moving with Ka constantly on. Sharp eyes caught a state trooper just before I was about to blow by him.
--Booooooo Packers. Had to stop anyways.
Kohler, WI
--Yep, where they make the faucets. They have basically a whole town with a very nice hotel. They also had a gallery with everything they currently make. They now have a carbon fiber faucet and they make diesel generators.
Sheboygan, WI
--OMG THEY HAVE A PIGGLY WIGGLY. I haven't seen one in so long.
Naperville, IL -End-
--
I got shot with laser outside of Milwaukee & jammed him,
.
--Drove straight from Sheboygan as fast as possible, but still got stuck in rush hour from Milwaukee all the way home.
