Well I'm a teenager, and like most teenagers I've been dreaming of owning a car.
I went through a phase of wanting to own a 60s or 70s Buick, then a phase for an early 70s VW Beetle. I've decided that owning a car that old is just asking for trouble.
I'm currently looking at early 2000s BMWs and Audis. I love the look of the M3s and M5s, but I think that for a good quality one it's going to cost a bit more than I can afford.
So I've fallen in love with the Audis . Until earlier this afternoon I have sort of scoffed at the TTs because they were so small, but all of a sudden that doesn't seem to matter, and I think they look great. I think a sedan is a more sensible idea though, and the 6-cyl A4s get very good milage (the '07 manual gets 20 city, 31 highway). On the 2000-3 models the price is pretty consistently under 10k on ebay, which means it shouldn't be too hard finding one for that price somewhere else.
What do you guys think about Audis for a first car? Should I start out lower?
Oh by the way, I'm pretty certain I want the 4wd quattro edition of any Audi. I have heard that Audi has the best 4wd, and in Maine in the winters it helps with safety.
