my girlfriends 08 gt(stock) tops out at exactly 140mph..btw dont race any trans ams...lol..bad experience.. ...but fun...the eclipse is a good every day car that can easily be driven anywhere and everywhere..ok, so i dont have a eclipse, but drive the girlfriends more than she does. it gets better gas mileage.

My friends eclipse can get rolling pretty well, he has the stick 4 though, a 1999. It's not a bad car.
hahaha nice dudes
I'm still a DSMer at-heart.
My first car, discounting my parents' hand-me-down '85 Chevy Cavalier sedan, which I drove for about 6 months, before it finally gave up the ghost, was a 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS DOHC, 5-speed.
My parents spoiled me, I know. My dad actually wanted to get me the GS-T variant, but we could not afford the hiked insurance premium from that.
I had that car since the day it rolled off the lot, new, in 1992 - all the way into med school. I still have very fond memories of it.
I still own my last DSM, a 2Ga TSi (with 2Gb Eclipse front-end conversion and other misc. cosmetic mods) with fully-supported EvoIII 16G.
