your idea?

if i remember right, a while back on Top Gear(UK) they had a episode where they each had to buy an old supercar, but for only so much.. So heres my question. Whats your idea of a good ole supercar/finer sports cars. The only two catchs are, your idea of the car has to be $25,000.00 or below and it can not be newer than 1999. My idea is a 98 BMW M3. If taken care of, this is still a very nice dependable car, that isnt too much lost in the stone ages. It's on ebay right now for $12,000..

Since it's old, I'd probably start with an old Porsche 911, either a Turbo (930 or 964), or something naturally aspirated but very light, like an RS America or a 911R.

That porsche is seriously sexy. i watched a clip about the callaway vette(like 88 model) on Top Gear(UK) and Jeremy beat the Sh!t out of it. He said "they took a bad car and made it fast"...but for us average guys, im sure that ZR1 is enough to get our heart going..

I always liked the coupe version. Actually prefer the coupe version of the Z series in general. I think the current M Coupe is the best looking product BMW has out.

There was a black dude in my building when I first moved in that had a 1985 Black on Black M5. I loved that car but then he got a LandRover SC which I like too but that 1st Gen M5 was clean and looked so purposeful. He said he sold it because it had 180,000 miles on it.

Me too. I always thought the Z3 coupe/M coupe was a little odd, but not unattractive, whereas the Z3 cabrio/M roadster styling never really did anything for me...and then the Z4/Z4M roadster is pretty nice, but the Z4/Z4M coupe is really very sexy and aggressive. It just looks FAST.
