I like the look of the 370z alot. Definitely goes back to the older datsun 240 styling

Because the 240z was an attractive car...

...which ALSO had perfectly normal ROUND headlamps, just as they should be. Nor did it have a grille with "wild boar tusks" inexplicable sticking up and leading nowhere.

It also happened to become an incredibly sexy and aggressive car with just a few subtle upgrades.

I can't even see most of the car, my eyes are just drawn to those horrors that are the headlights.

It's as if they couldn't figure out any way to improve the styling of the 350Z but they couldn't release the same car with a new engine. So they said, "Well we have to change it SOMEHOW" so they just made it ugly until it was sufficiently different.

From some angles it looks like a surprised goldfish.

The ugly stick goes around beating headlights at nissan. First the maxima and now the Z.

The shape does look more like an older Z, but I am not sure how it goes with the newer curvier body style. Also, those headlights do look like ****.

As someone who owns and loves his 350Z, just let me say this....

The 370 is a better car than the 350 in every way that matters.

It's faster in a straight line.

It's faster through turns.

It's faster through transitions.

It's faster.

It does need add-on oil and diff coolers for the track, but other than that, the 370Z, particularly with the sport package, is a better car than the 350Z.

As far as the look goes, I like the 370Z look better than the later hood-bulge 350Z's aka "HR" Z's.

I agree with you ENTIRELY.

That's why it pisses me off so much. They took a great car and made it better...and then uglified it for no acceptable reason whatsoever.

Of course I still think the 300ZXTT was a much more attractive car (really some of my favorite modern sports car styling...it almost looks like some kind of starfighter to me).

Looks-wise, the series peaked with the 280ZX, IMHO.
