I've owned an 05 TT 225/Quattro for around 8 months.
I financed it & owe about 19k on it.
Never gotten a ticket. Yesterday i was pulled over & the officer said he got me w/laser @ 50 something in a 30. He said he has seen me around & knows i speed sometimes. Probably lives in the area. He was nice enough to let me go w/a warning.
I told him if my insurance increases again i would probably have to get rid of the car. The amount i've paid for insurance on this car w/State Farm is totally ridiculous. IMO they are back stabbers that won't or can't tell you why they <randomly> increase your premium.
It's bad enough State Farm sends you their own political propaganda in the mail.
Bike: One speeding ticket (very recent) in nearly 5 years of riding, 2 bikes, ~28k miles & multiple states - & my costs on the car go up again. This hasn't even gone to court yet. (w/attorney+)
I am now paying ~$270/month just for the TT.
(even the cop ^ after looking @ my record said "that's way too much")
I receive this non-descript State Farm BS in the mail vaguely citing my driving record for the reason of my premium increasing again. When i call them they say that's in error & don't know why it's been increased. Yet the increase itself is somehow not in error.
I have had it with this ****. I'm tired of this gouging game.
I am (now) thinking i should get a 4dr box car that's a total bore to look at, none the less drive.
The alternative is to perpetually blow a snowballing amount of money.
I'm about to throw in the towel.
I feel i've dealt with enough insurance companies over the years to know there isn't one that's going to save me.
