JDS turned me on to the BMW Street Survival school for kids. Only $60 for all day of training and looks like a blast. I sent the link and info to several of my friends that have teen drivers. Non of them seemed interested at all to send their kids along to the event. Got a couple comments like "I don't want them to thrash our car doing that kind if stuff." or "I think it will just encourage them to go fast. Better that they don't know how far they can push their car."
I guess they think learning for the first time how to recover from a skid on the freeway at 65MPH is better than "thrashing" their car at the track. So, am I on the fringe and everyone else is normal for not wanting their kids to take this class?
