ok so i really want a HUD (heads up display) i know that some model vette's and some Cadillac's have them. I drive a 2007 cobalt with every window in the car including the windshield tinted. I think the HUD would look very nice on my windshield especially at night. is it possible to scavange the HUD off a car that previously had one installed and mod it to fit my car? Is there any company that sells them?

The problem is finding something that will integrate into your cars data bus.

I cant post links yet but try www dot exoticvette.com forward slash HUD.htm
I'm sure there are more, I would google aftermarket HUD. Although this one looks kinda cool. My old vett had a built in one and I loved it.
That does look ok but im really looking for something that will project onto my windshield.
If you look into the interior of a cobalt there is a rather large bump behind the steering wheel. that is where i want to mount the HUD and i dont think that unit will project that far
I found a guy on the internet that builds them for GM vehicles. only 1k

I've seen numerous videos of the ZR4 getting PT in the 100-200ft range. That's acceptable to me.
What you have seen is videos by people who are either Escort fanboys, or simply don't know how to competently test laser countermeasures, which is a rampant problem here. You can find videos of anything you want to find on YouTube, if you look long enough. I can find you videos of girls with dicks. That doesn't make it right.

Pick two, because that is all you can have in any given detector.

A sure sign that it was "professionally installed".
Then again a V1 will alert you to any false around......ill stick with the ix
You are entitled to keep your "false free" Escort detector as it doesn't alert to quick trigger pulls and cops using K band in a "TrueLocked" area. Wow, it sure is quiet, as the police officer lowers your pants and sticks the ticket right into your anus.

yea that would not be worth putting in my car lol
well it might be depending on how well it works
Can't spend on a HUD. Got to save for the new wiper blades after this is over.
