Default The Tool Box Thread. Post your box.

After being in storage for almost four years my tool box is now back in a garage. So today I spent all day cleaning and organizing everything for it's new home . . . in my mom's garage. Yeah, I know it's not the same as my home, but I'm in school again so no new house for me any time soon. But I'm glad to have my tools out of storage. I don't have a decent vehicle anymore but just getting my tools out of storage really made me feel better. Today was a great day. It was like D-day but for my tools.

I got both my rolling shelves out, all my climbing gear, workbench and box tools as well. Awesome day!

I only have half a garage right now but I'm glad to have that. Cheers to that! Post you're box!

Well our garage is super dirty but:

Racing toolbox that goes (or went) to the track racing when it was clean:

    Tool-box that stays home:

    Electrical and painting tool-box:

Then we have countless rubber-made boxes that are for specific purposes (ie: plumbing etc)... then countless baby-wipe boxes recycled for fittings/nuts/bots etc...then also some small side toolboxes that have your usual circular saws, dremels, sawzalls.

    Plus:

    The main-stays that you need
like: our band-saw, drill-press, hard-line air-compressor, belt sander/circular grinder, table saw, stationary welder, mobile welder/mobile torch... overhead "garage crane" (Not the annoying side ones), full heating system with outside propane tank and to clean up after everything: a closed loop solvent sink.

Plus odds and ends like jacks & stands table-vises etc.

That is missing lots in this garage, our garage next door? WHO KNOWS.

KK, none of it as mine, but my dad lets me use it all.

Sorry for the horrid quality i took them on my video camera in low-light...

Damn that's not a toolbox, that's a shop. I hope to get some pneumatic tools soon.

Yeah, the pneumatic impact wrenches are so nice for changing out tires in the spring. Lift the entire car off the ground, check the tire pressures on the spring/summer tires... fill them accordingly with the compressor, switch over to the pneumatic impact wrench and go Nascar on it... Ok he doesn't have the Thundar-Gun that Nascar uses, but a few older high-end impact wrenches, the point is they make the job a flash.

Funniest part is for the longest time my dad had me do it the old-fashioned way (Breaker-bar), so I would get a feel for everything, and so I wasn't spoiled. Now I cannot imagine going back to the breaker bar.

You're lucky though... at least all of your tools are easily accessible, the reason why I didn't take pictures of much of the tools is because they are all hidden away behind something or other... at least HE knows where they all are in the mess.

We have a race-car that is standing vertical in there (literally), and one 3-feet off the ground on stands if that gives some idea of how jacked it looks, it needs its spring cleaning... so your organized set has got us beat there.

I'll try to get some other photos of the solvent sink, welder(s) the "over-head crane/lift" and the other tools. Maybe some pics even one of the 850HP+ methanol-alcohol eating engines.

Can't believe this topic hasn't blown up?

Yeah, I hate when the allen wrench set won't stay in it's compartment.

If you have a tool chest anything like that. Put it in a safe.

When I bought my Husky Dad was really dissappointed in the quality of the metal used. I hit it with Corrosion X every spring but he estimated it would probably start rusting in 15 years.
