Well, after loosing the Audi (see http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...ommission.html ) it was decided that a replacement would be purchased that required no loan to be taken out.
With my 70 miles of commuting each day, and at least 30,000 miles/year for the last 10 years, I needed something in that price-range that would be reliable, and last at least a couple years. I wanted to stick with AWD, and found this:
It is a 5 speed 2001 Subaru Forester L with 98,000 miles. A HUGE change from the Audi, but hopefully it will serve its purpose. I've explained my feelings for this car as, "for a car I don't like, I like it." Sometimes for the sake of practicality and maturity, sacrifices are made.
Within a week of loosing the Audi, I had a brand new V1, awaiting its new home. This weekend it will be hardwired into the forester.
I have yet to decide on a CB which will be the next countermeasure purchased, then a scanner, then, down the road possibly jammers. I would love to buy jammers now, but they aren't in the budget.
I'm looking to get a full sized CB and Scanner this time around, and antennas that will be mounted onto a planned roof basket.
Opinions, comments, complaints, suggestions, reviews and sympathies (haha) are welcome.
Also, to the mods, I had no idea where to stick this, so feel free to move it, or close it if it should've been a blog.
