S2000 theft

I walked to my car this morning and found someone cut my top and stole my seats, shift knob, and antanna. They did not steal my jammers or v1 unit, display, or master volume knob. They also unlocked my 2005 accord but took nothing. I live in a somewhat retired community so the cop is very suprised with any car theft. Didn't get a chance to take pics as I had to rush to work but will post on my day off.

Bummer. Remember that thread you had when you were thinking about buying the S2000 and you asked about theft ... I told you the car does not get stolen much but the seats do.

S2K's need to be garaged. Hopefully your insurance will take care of you.

That really sucks. Hondas seem to have valuable accessories for some reason, but I still don't understand why somone would steal seats and shift knob.....seems like too much hassle to be profitable in stealing those.

when you get new seats get these bad boys installed Secure Mega Bolts | Customized Security Mega Bolts | Mega Bolts Security no way anyone will be able to remove them without the key.

I just checked cr@iglist and I think my seats are being sold for $450 for the pair. I check cr@iglist everyday as a hobby and those seats just pop up today in my area code.

Thanks Languy, will be ording a set of those bolts with a bolt decal for the car. The car has keyless entry but I guess I need to lay off CM a while and save up for a pager alarm. Pager alarms have saved my last car a few times. Theives would kick the car to see if the alarm would go off before breaking in and my pager alarm was great in my old naborhood. My last car was broken and radio was stolen before the pager alarm. Since I moved to this condo area, the pager alarm never went off for 2 years in my last car so I never felt my sk2 was in danger.
This is my 4th car I ever owned and i'm 4/4 in car break-in.

S2K's need to be garaged. Hopefully your insurance will take care of you.

Insurance will not appraise my car until 6/4/10 so it will be at least 2 weeks before the car is fixed like new. I wonder how much my insurance will increase because of the claim.
