Question What is the wire behind the wheel, in the wheel well?

I noticed my boost very low today and went for a look. Well I noticed a seperate issue, there is a wire that has disconnected from near the wheel well.

It appears to be a ground wire. It's located right behind the front wheel and runs to the inner wheel well.

Can anyone tell me what this wire does or what its called?

    Wheel speed sensor for ABS?

Edit: I looked closer and it doesn't really look like it, so nvm.

It could be, however it does not really look like it as you said. The wire appears like it goes to the shock?

Definitely looks like some kind of ground mechanism, just splice a new wire where it's broke and break out the ducttape =)

Yea I think I just jumped to that first because mine has a little clip on the shock in about that place that keeps it from flopping around.

    I believe it's called "broken."

But seriously, is there a similar wire on the other side of the car in the opposite wheel well? Also, can you see inside the trunk area where the wire pokes through that groimmet? What does it ultimately lead to?

Are there any other electronics there that would need to be grounded somehow? I don't understand how else you'd need a ground there.

What do you mean your "boost very low today"? Are you running a turbo charger? And if that's what you mean, that cable won't affect turbo boost and that cable also won't affect the charge state in your battery either. If your battery is low, it's probably your alternator and/or battery terminals are corroded.
