    Default HID fogs

I got this HID kit that replaces 9005 bulbs and I was thinking about putting them in my fogs. It's a plug n play deal so it won't be much trouble if it sucks.

    Will it suck?

In main lowbeam reflector housings, yes. Fogs, probably not, might look fine. I tried a plug and play in my stock reflector lowbeams once though, the kit has been sitting on a shelf in my garage ever since. What's the color temperature of the bulbs?

The bulbs are 6000k. That's what I have in my low beams which are regular HIDs.

Most people use something more around 2500k which helps in cutting down the glare of reflected light.

6000 is kind of blue, 5000 is where it starts to transition from white. Are you doing this for your CTS?

^no. cross between white and blue depends on company of HID ballast / light. Mine are 8000k yet they're white with a hint of blue.

most would have that white with a hint of blue type transition be 6000k
under 3000k is universally accepted as straight yellow lights.

I'd be careful OP if your lights blind on coming traffic, people will flash you, and cops will realize you're not stock easier.

Try it out, might look nice. Glare from fogs doesn't sound like it should be a problem, but I guess you'll know when you see.

The problem with HID in fogs will be the glare. Not so much for others, but for you. The farther you get away from OEM Yellow/White which is 4300K, you lose actual usable light. If you actually want to use your fog lights in fog or rainy conditions stay at/below/around 4300K. And if you already have HID's in your low beams, if you throw in a different color HID kit in your fogs, you'll have all kinds of colors coming from the front of your car.
